Rote Ndao, Sulutnews.com – Seven students from the Rote Hospitality Academy (RHA) are poised to make history in the international hospitality industry. After six months of intensive training, these seven talented students, dubbed the “7 Power Girls” by RHA Director Nora Bawazier, have demonstrated exceptional progress and are ready for advanced training at NIHI Sumba, one of the world’s leading hotels. This achievement underscores RHA’s commitment to developing competent young people from Rote who are prepared to compete on a global scale.
“I am incredibly proud of these ‘7 Power Girls!'” exclaimed Nora Bawazier with immense enthusiasm. “They have worked tirelessly and shown a profound commitment to learning and growth. They fearlessly embrace challenges and work intelligently to achieve peak performance!”
Following a rigorous selection process, these seven students will undergo three months of intensive training at NIHI Sumba. Under the guidance of industry experts and senior professionals, they will hone their skills and gain invaluable experience in serving high-profile international guests.
Upon completion of their training, they will return to Rote and apply their newly acquired knowledge and experience at NIHI Rote at Bo’a Beach. They are prepared to deliver world-class service to international guests in their homeland, Rote Ndao Island. Beyond this, Nora hopes they will share their valuable knowledge and experience with other RHA students, empowering more young people from Rote to pursue careers in the hospitality industry.
One of the selected students, Lia Mbatu, expressed her gratitude and excitement, “I am overjoyed and completely surprised, as is my family, to have been given this opportunity to train at NIHI Sumba. This is a golden opportunity that we will utilize to the fullest. After returning to Rote, we will share our knowledge and experience with our colleagues at NIHI Rote.”
Full support has also been expressed by Bapak Firlot Pellokila, a member of the Rote Ndao District Council from Commission II, which oversees tourism. He conveyed his pride and appreciation for the roles of RHA and PT Bo’a Development in empowering Rote’s youth. “We hope they will complete their training successfully and return to work at NIHI Rote. Thank you to NIHI Rote for providing employment opportunities to the young people of Rote,” he stated.
