Rote Ndao,Sulutnews.com — The Criminal Investigation Unit (Sat Reskrim) of the Rote Ndao Police has handed over suspects and evidence (Phase II) for two individuals in two separate criminal cases, each related to the crime of Electronic Information and Transactions (ITE) and sexual intercourse with a minor.
The case of sexual intercourse with a minor ensnared suspect RAK alias Rudy, who was reported by Wilson Kiuk through police report No. Pol LP/B/10/VII/2025/SPKT/Polsek Rote Tengah/Polres Rote Ndao/Polda NTT dated July 7, 2025, with the victim identified as LK.
The handover of the suspect and all evidence in this case was led directly by the Head of the PPA Unit of the Rote Ndao Police Criminal Investigation Unit, Ipda Elyonat D. U. Warata, S.H., along with members of the PPA unit, and was received by the Head of the General Crimes Section of the Rote Ndao District Attorney, I Nyoman Agus Pradnyana, S.H.
Meanwhile, the second case ensnared Erasmus Frans Mandato (EFM) alias Mus Frans, in a case of alleged violation of the Law on Electronic Information and Transactions (ITE). Before being handed over to the Rote Ndao District Attorney’s Office, EFM underwent a health check at the Rote Ndao Police Clinic by Dr. Patmi Wulandari, Monday, November 3, 2025.
After the examination, the suspect EFM, accompanied by his legal counsel and family, was handed over to the Baa District Attorney’s Office for Phase II processing. The handover was received directly by Public Prosecutor Halim Irmanda, S.H., accompanied by the Head of the General Crimes Section of the Baa District Attorney’s Office, I Nyoman Agus Pradnyana, S.H.
This ITE case originated from an upload on EFM’s personal Facebook page on January 24, 2025, which was reported by Samsul Bahri. Based on the results of the investigation, EFM was charged with Article 45A Paragraph (3) Jo Article 28 Paragraph (3) of the Republic of Indonesia Law Number 1 of 2024 concerning the second amendment to Law Number 11 of 2008 concerning ITE.
The article regulates the prohibition of spreading electronic information or electronic documents containing false news that can cause unrest in the community.
Separately, the Head of the Rote Ndao Police, AKBP Mardiono, S.ST., M.K.P., emphasized the commitment of his staff in handling every case professionally and transparently.
“Since we first served at the Rote Ndao Police, we have been committed that every handling of criminal acts must be handled professionally,” said the Police Chief.
He also emphasized the importance of the active role of the community in maintaining security and supporting law enforcement in the region.
“We really need the participation of the community to jointly maintain public order and security. The law is the commander, and every citizen has the right to feel safe and have the right space to test every police action,” he explained.
Police Chief Mardiono also expressed his appreciation to the ranks of the Rote Ndao Police Criminal Investigation Unit who have worked hard to complete the two cases until they were declared P21 (complete files) by the prosecutor’s office.
“I appreciate the performance of the Criminal Investigation Unit ranks who have worked hard to shed light on these two cases so that they are declared P21,” said the Police Chief.
